  • Broadband Internet Connection/Direct Connection
 DIAL UP CONNECTION

Dial-up connection is a form of Internet access that uses the facilities of the public switched telephone network to establish a connection to an Internet service provider by dialing a telephone number on a conventional telephone line.

  • *    Relatively secure from hackers

ISDN ( Integrated Service Digital Network )

vTypically uses two phone lines to transfer data
vISDN requires a special ISDN modem
vCharacteristics of ISDN:
  •      Faster, but pricey
  •      Doesn’t tie up phone line
  •      Used by businesses and individuals

RULES OF NETTIQUETE what is nettiquete ?            Netiquette is a combination of the words  net work and   etiquette , and is defined as a set of rules for acceptable online behavior.
